...FAQ

Where does the tour start and finish?
The tour starts at the Boston Common Visitor Center at 147 Tremont Street and ends at Cheers about a half mile away, perfect for a post tour drink.

How long is the tour?
The tour lasts approximately 1.5 to 2 hours and covers about 1.25 miles. We walk at a leisurely pace and have numerous movie location stops along the way.
What is the walking level?
Easy-moderate. There is some minor hill walking.

What if it is raining?
Tours run in moderate rain. However, we may cancel due to extreme weather and heavy rain. A good rule of thumb: If the Red Sox baseball game is cancelled, we will most likely cancel if it is still raining.

Feel free to call 866-MOVIE45 if you should have any questions.

For guests whose tour is cancelled due to weather, a full refund will be issued.

I’m not a big movie buff. Will I still like the tour?
We certainly hope so. The tour is a great way to see the city, even if you are not a movie fan. The tour not only takes guests to movie locations, it also weaves its way through picturesque Beacon Hill and the Public Garden. You’ll also see the State House and the Athenaeum.
Will I run into a movie star?
It is possible but unlikely. But we’ll keep our eyes open.
I am a big movie fan. How can I become a tour guide?
Boston Movie Tours is always looking for enthusiastic people to provide the best Hollywood experience possible. If you are a movie buff, are energetic and can entertain a group of tour goers, send us an email at employment@bostonmovietours.net.
